Sony Smartwatch coming to India by June end


Adding another chapter to the world of technology, Sony Mobile India has announced on its official Facebook page that the Sony Smartwatch will be available in India by the end of June 2012.

The Smartwatch is a display unit of the Smartphone which can be wearied in the wrist just like a watch.

This Smartwatch device from Sony was first announced back in January.

The basic part of the device is its 1.3-inch and 8mm thick OLED touch display. It connects to the Smartphone over Bluetooth that helps one stay updated with all the latest notifications. It vibrates when there is a new notification.

The smart watch is a smooth device which is well equipped to keep it protected from dust and water.  One can see the notifications on the face of it, without even pulling the mother Smartphone from the pocket.

Bedsides working like a notification display unit, the device also include widgets for SMS, email, call, Twitter, Facebook and music player.

Although no confirmation has been made yet regarding the date of arrival of the device in India, it is expected to hit the Indian stores towards the end of June this year. The device will be officially priced around Rs. 6.000.
