Milk boosts Brain Memory: Study

Taking at least one glass of milk on daily basis puts a positive impact on our brain by boosting the memory and mental strength, claims a new international study.

Researchers at the University of Maine found that the intake of milk and milk products everyday increase our memory and mental performance. They said that the people, who take milk on regular basis, are five times likely to fail their test as compared to people, who do not prefer milk.

The study was conducted on 900 men and women aged between 23-98 through a series of brain tests including visual-spatial, verbal and working memory tests on milk consumption habits of the subjects.

The researchers found that the milk drinkers performed well in all the tests as compared to those with less consumption of milk.

The experts said that the intake of milk affects brain health in a significant manner. It is not only good for cardiovascular health but also for brain health. The study was published in the International Dairy Journal.
